Banner House Museum - Summer Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteer Opportunities

The Banner House Museum would not exist without volunteers!

Volunteers raised the funds and purchased the Banner house, then renovated it, turning it into a museum with donated period items. Volunteers decorated the rooms, landscaped the yard, and trained to be docents to guide visitors through our history with tours and demonstrations.

Volunteer Opportunities

Docent training is provided periodically for anyone interested in leading museum tours. Docents should be comfortable speaking to tour groups†and committed to learning more about this area's history and families. Community outreach events provide additional opportunities for docents to share their knowledge. Minimum 4 hours per week time commitment required
